The LA-based trio Psychic Love – spearheaded by Laura Peters along with Max Harrison (guitar) and Liam McCormack (bass) – have returned, releasing new material for the first time since their 2016 debut album.

The new single ‘Go Away Green’ sees them resume their love affair with woozy, dreamy indie stylings. Swaying with a woozy, mesmerizing melodic quality as it ebbs and flows through hazy surroundings of reverb and mild distortion. Amid the dreamy guitar and propulsive surges of drums, Peters’ smokey vocals bristle with nostalgia and melancholy, yet with an undercurrent of defiance. An atmospheric, woozy cut that oozes a richness and a compelling, smouldering emotional weight. A fantastic return from Psychic Love and one that will take its place on a so far unnamed EP.

This is not the first time that we’ve been wooed by Psychic Love’s woozy, dreamy indie stylings.

The LA-based trio – spearheaded by Laura Peters along with Max Harrison (guitar) and Liam McCormack (bass) – released their wonderful debut album, The Hive Mind at the back end of last year; and they have shared the latest offering from it, ‘Red Sun’. All twangy, atmospheric guitars and steady clicking beat, while the smokey-sweet vocals from Peters add further to the woozy and dreamy, yet melancholic and brooding dimension of ‘Red Sun’. A highlight from their debut LP and an excellent choice of single, which is a reminder, or introduction, to Psychic Love’s laid-back indie stylings.

Introducing: Psychic Love

Psychic Love are LA-based woozy indie merchants who, spearheaded by Laura Peters along with Max Harrison (guitar) and Liam McCormack (bass) released their debut LP The Hive Mind last month.

The album is rather impressive. Its bewitching allure emanating from a resplendent ebbing and flowing through moody, spectral dramatics and woozy lackadaisical jangle; a motif played out perfectly on new single ‘Dye Pack’. It is woozy and dreamy yet dramatic and brooding as jangling guitar chords are filtered through reverb and mild distortion. An anthemic hook and propulsive drumming pair up to provide a surging optimism, while Peters’ sultry vocals bristles with nostalgia and melancholy. Psychic Love’s moody, laid-back indie stylings shimmer, swagger and swoon in equal measure. A spectacular intro to a band that will improve your day, immensely.
