Guest blog on Nialler9 – Boe Weaver, Shout Out Out Out Out & Kenan Bell

Just a heads up to draw attention to yet another of my long running guest blogs (3 and half years now) for my mate Nialler9 and his super music blog. If you’ve been following things closely here you will probably be familiar with Boe Weaver, Shout Out Out Out Out & Kenan Bell but the idea is to highlight some music Nialler hasn’t had a chance to blog about, which as it happens is not a lot and it can be an arduous but enjoyable task.

Apologizes in advance if the blog is less active in the next few weeks but the World Cup is gonna be a major distraction.

IELB Get on Down

A shameless bit of plugging here today for one of my favourite online haunts, Irish Election Literature Blog, a pretty amazing archive resource of Irish political leaflets from way back when to the present day. It’s got plenty of stuff for any of you interested in politics or design but there are piles of hilarious ones too, remember Clifford T Reid’s Euro Campaign?

It’s a blog that I’m delighted to say I have been donating some stuff to lately, it’s definitely worth checking out and if any of you have old election materials lying around send them on.

Elections? Sure it’s always the same result.

Congrats Nialler9

On the day that sees George Galloway’s ‘The Mother of All Talk Shows’ have its last broadcast before the general election in Britain (what will I do with my Sunday mornings?) some good news has thankfully arrived here at barrygruff towers. My mate and blogging extraordinaire Nialler9 has won his well-earned and deserved fourth best music blog award in a row at the Irish Blog Awards in Galway last night.

To celebrate no champagne or  the like but here’s a tune from the memory banks of Ciarán Dwyer.
