The Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess has announced the release of a brand new solo album, Oh No I Love You on October 1st.
While busy with the day job fronting The Charlatans, it still seems a bit mad that it’s been nine years since his excellent debut solo album, I Believe. The first track from the album is ‘White’; an upbeat and breezy brass-laden canter with jaunty keys and country inflected guitars. It is perfectly partnered by Dan Tomb’s psychedelic video, which accentuates the beauty of this wonderful ditty. No great surprise, Burgess’ fondness for country is well noted but if this is anything to go by, the album is going to be pretty sweet.
Burgess plays Dublin’s The Workman’s Club and The Stiff Kitten in Belfast on October 26th & 27th respectively.
