Tertia – ‘Emily’

Tertia is a  London / Dublin based multi-instrumental artist, songwriter and producer with a flair for charming, synth-splashed indie-pop.

A classically trained musician, Tertia simultaneously incorporates this with lush synths, electronics, stylized production and meditative vocals to create an exciting lo-fi / indie-pop brew – exhibited beautifully on new single ‘Emily’. Lifted from Tertia’s recently released debut EP,  Tertia’s Mixtape, ‘Emily’ is a lush, melodic and dreamy escape. Electronics flutter and synths shimmer and fizz while soft beats patter at a pace below as Tertia’s smooth honeyed vocal tones reign supreme, flowing over us with an ease and breeze. ‘Emily’ is serene, addicting and utterly spectacular – a perfect intro to both Tertia and debut EP, Tertia’s Mixtape.

Frankie Knight – ‘Even Though’

Hailing from the South Coast of the UK, Frankie Knight is an electronic pop artist that delves into a dreamworld of haunting melodies and waves of lush tones.

Drawing from a deep well of influences – electronica, hip hop, electro-pop and folk – Knight crafts her brand of beautifully sculpted electronic pop. This propensity for the exquisite is evidenced by new single ‘Even Though’, a second lifted from her forthcoming debut album expected before the close of 2019. It is a bittersweet electronic pop tune built on a bed of skittish hip hop infused beats, while the pop sensibilities are never far away as an elegant shimmering haze of synths and cracking electronics illuminate the path for her vocals to float elegantly overhead. ‘Even Though’ is a transfixing beauty that whisks us away on a dreamy meditative journey that is expansive, fragile and experimental, while simultaneously lush, warm and filled with pop goodness.

Don’t just take my word for it, tune into ‘Even Though’ below, and keep an eye out for the debut album later in the year:

DRAMAS – ‘Comfort Zone / Robot’

DRAMAS are Austrian duo Viktoria Winter and Mario Wienerroither, who from their Viennese base, cultivate a stunning brew of dreamy electronic-pop.

Lifted from their 2018 LP Nothing is Permanent, ‘Comfort Zone / Robot’ is a beguiling example of their flair for dreamy pop and ethereal electronica being pushed into more experimental, spaced-out zones of bleary psych. Winter’s beguiling vocal floats with a weightlessness above a blanket of hypnotic shimmering synth and frazzled electronics, on contrast to the deep bass groove and snappy beats which propel us onward. Their’s is a sound of consummate balance and ‘Comfort Zone / Robot’ finds an exquisite balance between bright and dark, heavy and light and analog and the digital. This is sweet, hypnotic and dreamy, and its transfixing allure is just irresistible.
