Elliott Mo – ‘Rest Here A Moment’

Elliott Mo is an Irish producer / electronic musician who introduced his wares in October last year with the stunning single ‘Oceans’, and Mo is back with the equally superb ‘Rest Here A Moment’.

While the previous single demonstrated a flair for dynamic dancefloor focused electronica, ‘Rest Here A Moment’ is a more chilled, meditative and ethereal affair. It is lush, woozy and wonderfully soothing slice of electronica that glides gracefully across dreamy surroundings and a soft tempo. Hazy textures swirl as lapping like sounds ripple below bright swells of synth and ebullient tone as we are lulled into soothing state of transfixed tranquility. It is beautiful, ethereal and dreamy – and one that will leave you all the better for making its acquaintance.

Listen to ‘Rest Here A Moment’ below – it does not disappoint:

Y.LOH – ‘VVITCH’

Y.LOH is a New York-based and Sonoran Desert-raised DJ and producer with a preference for minimal, downtempo house – and drawing inspiration and identity from natural environments and surroundings, Y.LOH attempts to connect with his homestead, the edgy and beautiful Sonoran Desert.

Y.LOH opened their 2021 account with the hypnotic ‘6 Train’ and is back with other mesmerising track ‘VVITCH’. Lifted from compilation album A Tribe Called Kotori, it slinks seductively along a syrupy groove as synths pulse and burst atop a compelling rhythmic force and slick beatwork. ‘VVITCH’ meanders along with hypnotising effect the groove grows and beats increase the tension, and synths and electronics flare to piercing through the increasingly murky air. Murky as it may be, as is the Y.LOH calling card, ‘VVITCH’ is illuminated by a deft touch for beats, groove and atmosphere.

Klangplanet – ‘Starlight’

For a while now, German producer KLANGPLANET – aka Frieder Mollat – has been a steady source of nocturnal, brooding house-inspired wizardry. Not one to break with tradition, Mollat has floated back onto our horizon with selenological new single, ‘Starlight’.

Lifted from his new EP Electronic Universe, an EP to commemorate his solo adventures, ‘Starlight’ a mellow, late-night, atmospheric jam. It certainly feeds into his pre-established predilection for minimal vibes, meticulously merged with field-recordings from different surroundings he aims to create a musical journey and alluring sound mélange. Stylistically speaking, it is his deft touch working in tandem with a preference for organic field recording that marks his chilled, downtempo works out from the crowd. Adding piano and guitar’s to the entrancing spectacle leaves us with a beautiful melodic downtempo effect with a deep house flavour. This is vivid, cinematic and immersive – music to get lost in if you will, and escapism at its very finest. Enjoy the trip.

Listen to ‘Starlight’ below, and if that is to your liking, there’s plenty more where that came from here.
