Digitalism‘s last album I Love You Dude was something of a let down. While possessing some great individual tracks, it lacked the energy, freshness and punch of their 2007 debut, Idealism.

The Hamburg duo are to release of their entry in the iconic DJ Kicks mix series toward the end of June. They have unveiled ‘Simply Dead’, a brand new track from the mix which sounds as though they have the wind firmly in their sails once more. Beginning slowly, ‘Simply Dead’ builds up into a distortion frenzy of heavy, powerful electro – it’s a banger in every sense of the word.

Digitalism’s DJ Kicks album is released on June 25th.

Digitalism‘s highly anticipated second studio album I Love You, Dude hits shelves very soon.

The German electronic duo have dropped another track from the LP, ‘Miami Showdown’. It follows up the masterful energetic synth rock of earlier single 2 Hearts. ‘Miami Showdown’ is much more of a slow burner, distorted and caustic electro sound. I’m sure I’m not alone in being really excited to get my mitts on their new album.
