The Kills – The Future Starts Slow (Death In Vegas Remix)

Death In Vegas recently returned from the wilderness with their first album in seven years. Trans-Love Energies is a moody and spooky affair of krautrock-fuelled electronic beats, So far so good but how good is it? Only time will tell.

DIV head honcho Richard Fearless has reworked The Kills ‘The Future Starts Slow’, one of the best songs from one of the finest albums of 2011, Blood Pressures. Unsurprisingly the retouch has a decidedly Death In Vegas feel to it, churning synths, beats with a breezy spacey vibe.

Death In Vegas’ BBC 6Music album preview mix

Richard Fearless recently made a 20 minute mix for BBC 6Music consisting exclusively of new material taken from Death In Vegas‘ forthcoming album Trans-Love Energies (September 23rd in Ireland / 26th UK ).

The mix sounds great which bodes well for the new LP. This has just made me even more eager to get my mitts of a copy of the album proper when it drops.

Death In Vegas – Enforced Peace

Wow! I must admit I’d almost forgotten about Death In Vegas, it’s been a while.

‘Enforced Peace’ marks a very interesting return from the band who will release a new album called Trans-Love Energies in September. It is a far cry from the live-band sound they perfected on The Contino Sessions or Scorpio Rising, rather, it is sounding very similar to earlier material on Dead Elvis.

It is good to have ’em back. Give it a spin below or grab a download at their site.
