Welsh producer R.Seiliog aka Robin Edwards has announced he will release a new album Megadoze, on November 30 via Turnstile.

With this most welcome news comes lead track ‘Opal Drift’ which suggests subtle shift from the sonic palette of previous albums Doppler (2013) and In Hz (2016) – both masterful works. ‘Opal Drift’ is a wonderful slice of deep flowing ambient techno that opens with a gently evocative sound of trickling water that flows through ambient textures and synth waves along a subtle beat and gentle pulsing rhythm, swelling to softly envelope all in its carefully sculpted surrounding. Mesmerising stuff that certainly adds to the excitement for the forthcoming album.

The latest EP follows on from the sublime albums, Doppler (2013) and In Hz (2014), and is preceded by new single ‘Cloddio Unterdach’. R. Seiliog – ‘Mt. Essa’

seiliog 2014

This week sees R. Seiliog (aka Robin Edwards) release his brand new album In Hz, which follows up 2012’s Shuffles EP and last year’s sublime mini-album, Doppler.

The Welsh electronic experimenter extraordinaire has already made quite an impression with his immersive and hypnotic genre-blending, majestically blurring the lines between exhilarating electro and propulsive Krautrock. A description which continues to fit R.Seiliog and the record’s lead single, ‘Mt. Essa’, quite well. A spectacular four minutes that is spearheaded by swishes of looped bells which eventually become consumed by waves of crunching beats, liquid blissfulness and boundless flourishes of crystalline percussion. Lush, glistening and altogether alive; this is the sound of R.Seiliog at the very top of his game. His new record In Hz, should be destined to enhance a growing rep as one of the the most enticing, intriguing and dynamic producers around.

R.SEILIOG – ‘Peripheral Thermal (Left)’

r.seiliog 2014 new

One of Wales’ greatest hidden treasures, and quite possibly the county’s most unique talent, R.Seiliog is back with his first new material since 2013′s fascinating Doppler mini-album.

Hidden or not, the mere mention of new R.Seiliog happenings is enticing, intriguing and greeted around this parts like a stoppage time winner! The new track, ‘Peripheral Thermal (Left)’ is yet another of hypnotic, genre-defying majesty – once again bending the lines between exhilarating electro and propulsive Krautrock. A perfect balance is eeked out between the beauty of glistening strings, dripping percussion and floating airiness, and blended so perfectly with popping glitches, crunching beats, winding electronics and shifting looping synth. It all sounds repetitive, minimalist and yet, splendidly lush at the same time. No idea as to where this is headed yet, stand alone track or part of something more substantial? Either way it’ll find it’s way into many hearts.

R.Seiliog is clearly a one-of-a-kind, and always an enticing and intriguing prospect which shows absolutely no sign of abating – just time then to indulge in ‘Peripheral Thermal (Left)’ below.
