Introducing: Raglans

Raglans are Stephen Kelly, Rhos Horan, Conn O’ Runaidh and Liam Morrow from Greystones, Co Wicklow and formed into the four-man-ensemble during the summer of last year.

Through a variety of handclaps and guitar swaying twangynes infused with dashes of folk and punk, their’s is energetic, chipper and catchy indie channeling in parts The Rifles, The View, The Coral or The La’s. ‘The Man From Glasgow’ is delivered with a whirlwind of guitar riffs and punchy vocals while ‘Down’ displays a different and softer side preferring plucky acoustics and percussive instead. Their sound contains something new, something borrowed but blue, it certainly is not.

‘The Man From Glasgow’ (and it’s excellent video) is taken from their new 5-track EP, out January 21st, which is streaming on bandcamp now.

I would be very surprised if we don’t hear a lot from these guys over the next 12 months.
