Hourglass Sea is Bradford based beatmaker Dean Bentley. Under previous moniker Lidget Green Position he flirted with hip hop, releasing a number of singles w/ Guilty Simspon, Craig G, Finale, Lightheaded Doc Brown and more.
His latest musical flurry contains some of this hip-hop flavour, in particular the beats. Hourglass Sea is a rather unusual blend of head nodding futuristic funk brimming with chilled crisp beats, frequent nods to chiptune and dubstep.
‘L.A Lights’ may only be his first single but if he continues to release material of this nature the future will be bright, very bright indeed.
