Today’s lesson has to be never use cheesy headlines (apologizes but its cheesy Tuesday), more importantly never underestimate The Chemical Brothers. Following a number of, well, less than impressive studio albums in recent years comes the announcement their seventh album, Further will be released on the 4th of June. The Press release claims the album to be the most psychedelic and melodic yet and will be matched by films made specifically for each of the eight album tracks by long-time live visuals collaborators Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall.

This news would normally have been greeted with little else than a fleeting glance but a radio rip has appeared on Youtube of ‘Escape Velocity’. The track  is from their new album and it seems on this evidence anyway, they’ve rediscovered what it’s all about. It’s time to get excited.
